Things that are different (part 2).

I never would have thought counting on hands would be different. It seems more like sign language. I see the logic in each number (well, all but six. I don't know what's going on with six), but it's just so surprising because I assumed counting on fingers was something that would be universally similar between different cultures. Very interesting (to me, at least).

  1. I've heard that Germans start with the thumb as number 1, and the pointer finger as 2. Thanks for the Taiwanese finger counting lesson.
